Today’s guest Jay Lindell, is from the State of Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade OEDIT. Jay brings us some exciting insight into the Colorado Cyber effort from the perspective of what Economic development funding efforts the State is looking to fund. People instinctively know that where the money goes, so does the people who make things happen.
Jay gives us some details about what programs the State of Colorado has to fund economic development and where it will best be applied. What a wonderful source of information on the capabilities of the economy, Jay is a wealth of information and obviously has a passion for the betterment of the Cyber Security industry and the local economy.
As the state appointed Champion for Aerospace Technology Jay gives examples from the successful release and adoption of the GPS as a consumer technology, which shows his experience with industry focused economic development.
Jay says the State of Colorado is using examples such as the state of North Carolina, following their example of economic development project for medical research to spur medical industry growth in Raleigh-Durham.
